On this page you will find a lot of logistical information for organizing your wedding. What you will find written is the result of the many requests that couples have made to us, for years, during the organization of the wedding.

Obviously every wedding is unique and different from the other and therefore for your specific wedding there may be some rules or information different from what is written below. However, we are always available for clarifications.

This is just one way to give you immediate answers to questions you may have while planning your wedding.

HOTEL and ACCOMODATION

CHECK-IN: All rooms will be ready from 3pm. However, if you and your guests wish to arrive earlier (not before 1pm) we are available to welcome you, there will be a room where you can leave your luggage, the bar and restaurant will be open. If guests who are checking out are not planning a pool party, will also be possible to use the pool. As the rooms are ready your guests will be able to check in

CHECK-OUT:  All rooms must be vacated by 10.30am (after breakfast). There will be a room where they can be left and your guests can use the pool and, if applicable, have a pool party. The venue must be left by 2pm. In the pool area there are bathrooms and restrooms where it will be possible to change and have a shower before leaving.

POOL:  The swimming pool is available for the entire stay. Towels are available for free at reception

SPA: Inside the SPA there are: Sauna, Jacuzzi, Hammam, emotional shower, Kneipp path and relaxation room. The SPA is available free of charge for all guests, as long as it is booked 1 hour before when you want to use it. Towels are always available free of charge in the SPA

SERVICES IN THE ROOM: All our rooms are equipped with: air conditioning, flat screen TV, hairdryer, safe, bathrobes and slippers, free WiFi, LAN.

GLAMPING: the glamping consists of 20 tents which can be occupied by a maximum of two people each. It is not mandatory to book all the tents but a minimum of 5 up to 20 can be occupied. The booking process for tents is the same as for rooms. Near the glamping area there are new restrooms with bathrooms and showers divided for men and women, an area for changing on the wedding day with high mirrors, hairdryer. There is electricity in the tents. Towels available free of charge in the restrooms.

BREAKFAST: Each day from 8am to 10.30am. Breakfast is a buffet and there are corners with homemade desserts, cold cuts, eggs, salad, yogurt, muesli and much more. Espresso, Americano, cappuccino and many other hot drinks are available. Gluten-free, vegan, lactose-free foods are available

On the wedding day the bridal party can have breakfast in the room where the bride's preparation takes place. Just order it the day before the time you want.

BAR & RESTAURANT:  Throughout your stay the bar and restaurant will be open (lunch and dinner with a light menu) and your guests will be able to order what they want and pay directly by credit card or with the castle's rechargeable card (more information in the payments section)

TENNIS COURT AND BOCCE BOWLS:  The tennis court and bocce nowls are available for the entire stay. Tennis rackets and balls and bowls are available free of charge at reception

MASSAGES: A few days before check-in all guests will receive an email with the massage price list and information for booking them.

PROCESS OF RESERVATION: booking rooms can be done in different ways:

1. The spouses pay for the rooms for their guests. In this case you will have to fill in the excel file below by entering "name", "surname", "email" and entering "0" in the cost that your guests will have to pay. In this way we will be able to send an email to everyone confirming the reservation and all the information about our hotel.

2. The spouses does not pay for the rooms for their guests (or some of them) but they want to decide in advance who will sleep in the rooms. In this case you will have to fill in the excel file found below by entering "name", "surname", "email" and entering the amount that their guests will have to pay, it can be the cost that we suggest in the excel file or a fixed cost decided from the spouses. In this way we will be able to send an email to everyone confirming the reservation and all the information about our hotel.

3. The spouses do not intend to manage the rooms of their guests, in this case we must first receive the rooms that the spouses wish to book and then each guest will be free to contact us to book their room at the rates agreed with the spouses. In this case we will handle the booking like a normal hotel booking

WE WILL START TAKING RESERVATIONS FROM JANUARY OF THE YEAR OF THE WEDDING.

WELCOME DINNER and GOODBYE PARTY

WHAT TIME WILL START? You can decide the start of the welcome dinner, we suggest starting between 6pm and 7.30pm also according to the arrival of your guests. Regarding the goodbye party, if you are checking out, you can have it between 11.30am and 1.30pm around the pool. If, however, you have planned a 3-night wedding for the third day you can have it whenever you want, during lunch time, in the early afternoon or during dinner time. We can discuss this together.

HOW DOES IT WORK? For two hours food and drinks are served which are included (unless otherwise agreed). At the end of the two hours you will remain in the same area as the pizza party and the bar will remain open with the possibility for your guests to order drinks and pay directly by credit card or rechargeable Petrata card (unless the spouses decide to offer also extra drinks)

MUSIC AND ENTERTEINMENT: During the lunch/dinner you will have speakers available, throughout the event, to play music using your own playlist or one of our playlists! Included in the welcome dinner (only) there is also a duo with the accordion who will play and sing traditional Italian songs for approximately 1 hour.  In case of a pool party you will also have inflatables available

TRANSFER

WHEN DO TRANSFERS START ORGANIZING? All transfers begin to be organized 1 MONTH BEFORE THE WEDDING, when the number of people, the arrival airport, the time, the hotels booked and more will be clear. Before this moment there is no need to book anything.

HOW WORKS? If the couple wishes to organize transfers for their guests we can take care of it through a trusted taxi company which has many canvs (up to 8 people) and buses (from 15 up to 50 people).

Through this company it is possible to organize all transfers:

from ROME/FLORENCE/PERUGIA AIRPORT to Petrata, Assisi, and all accommodation (and return)

from Assisi (and all accommodation) to Petrata for the wedding day and for the other days. Departures normally take place directly from the guests' accommodation approximately 30 minutes before the start of the event (welcome dinner, wedding day, goodbye party). Returns will be organized with flexible times to accommodate all guests' needs. We will define, for example for the wedding day, a range of return times.

REFFERAL COST: To give you a quote, even a general one, we need precise information. This is because the cost of the transfer depends on the place of departure, the number of people and above all the return time at night. The ones you see below are reference quotes for transfers mostly used with 6/8-person canvs, day time:

From Assisi to Petrata --> 35/40 euros

From Perugia Ariport to Petrata --> 70/80 euros

From Assisi Train Station to Petrata --> 40/50 euros

From Rome Airport to Petrata --> 400/450 euros

From Florence Airport to Petrata --> 450/500 euros

The rates are not valid for the wedding day because there are longer waiting times and returns at night cost more. (we will send you a specific quotation for this)

TAXIS IN ASSISI? Assisi is a very popular tourist city and therefore there are many taxis (THERE IS NO UBER) that can be called by your guests by contacting the hotels where they are staying or directly in the main squares. The same goes for the Assisi train station and Perugia airport.
So if you want to leave your guests free to take taxis themselves there is no problem, but there is one very important thing:

In Assisi there is no night taxi service, so if your guests take a taxi alone to come to the Castle they must necessarily arrange with the same taxi driver for the return in the evening or at night at the time they prefer. The castle reception is unable to book any taxis in the evening or at night unless they are arranged in advance.

ABOUT SHIPPING and OWN ALCOHOL

SHIPPING It is possible to send your wedding materials directly to the castle. The important thing is that this material arrives no earlier than a week before the wedding. Please let us know if there are any customs costs to pay so we can organize them

OWN ALCOHOL: It is not possible to bring your own alcohol, unless otherwise agreed with Petrata.
Please also communicate this to your guests, it is not possible to consume your own alcohol in the swimming pool, in the garden or during organized events.

FOOD and DRINKS

FOOD: Regarding food, you will have the opportunity to have a food tasting in one of the visits before the wedding. In this food tasting you can choose different dishes to taste (pasta course, first course, main course) and you will define your favorites that we will serve on the wedding day.


During the tasting you will also taste wines to match with the food and our sommelier will be available to advise you.

In case it is not possible for you to come before the wedding we will organize calls in which we will talk about the menu and wine and the day of your arrival (if you wish).

One month before the wedding, you must inform us of all intolerances or different food choices of your guests: vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, lactose free and more.

At that point we will prepare different menus for each guest in accordance with what you have communicated to us.

DRINKS: Drinks are included in all our proposals and you can find all the information on the drinks included and the quantities included in the food brochure. Non-alcoholic beer and gluten-free beer are always available. We remind you that it is not possible to bring your own alcohol.

KIDS: For children aged 3 to 10 we will always prepare simpler differentiated menus, such as pasta with tomato sauce, cutlet, nuggets, chips. For children up to 3 years old, if parents need to heat or cook something they can ask. We will prepare menus also following all food intolerances of children
